about
Director and founder of the “Zero Earth”, Commander Zero has worked for years as an emergency medical first aider at the Italian Red Cross, as a first aider and an ambulance driver.
In 2002 he finally achieved his biggest childhood dream, wearing the uniform of the Italian State Police with pride and honor.
In the long years of service he has achieved many personal and professional results, working in different operational departments. He has held important positions for public order and security, working in the Mobile Departments V and VI of Turin and Genoa, with the specialization of public order operator, where he actively worked in sports and political turmoil.
Later he carried out the activity patrolin the “Squadra Volante”, offering his contribution in the prevention and repression of criminal activities.
As a result of the various merits of the service, he was offered working for the “undercover” investigation team, since he refused because he wanted from his enlistment to be part of the elite special departments of the State Police.
One step away from joining the NOCS of the State Police due to family problems, he became part of the Canine Team, as an anti-explosive handler, a position that allowed him to participate in important national and international events such as the exhibition of the Holy Shroud and the signing of Treaties Europeans, and guarantee the security of national and international heads of state such as the former president of the State of Israel, the presidents of the Russian Federation, Pope Benedict XVI.
He was also the driving force behind patrol and emergency response efforts with K-9 units, still unknown in Italy.
After his retirement from the Italian State Police, he founded two companies, one in Italy and one in the United States of America, where he also obtained a Instructor diploma from a prestigious K-9 training academy.
Through his company in the USA, called “Dogs Enforcement LLC”, he supplied trained dogs to the different police units of the Florida State Police, where he had the great honor and the possibility of being able to carry out patrol operations.
After this experience of the highest level, he was called upon to plan a security K-9 project for the United Nations (UN) and for which he carried out training and education activities. This was followed by several other international experiences with collaborations in several other countries such as the Netherlands and Spain
Throughout his career he has participated in various broadcasts, including “Successo.com” by Giacomo Catalani and radio broadcasts, such as Radio 101 (Italian national station), creating four podcasts related to different topics, including the most important , called “Unidad K-9”, the world’s first podcast in Spanish about K-9 work units. Author of two books, he was a professor at the E-Campus University, Faculty of Criminology, in the city of Rome and a professor at the Interamerican University of Buenos Aires “UAI” (Argentina). K-9 instructor and trainer Professional recognized and accredited by the Training and Improvement Division of the Spanish Ministry of the Interior. He is also the founder of the “Pack System”method, an identification and stimulation method to improve human and animal performance. He have been recognized by USA with the most important VISA, given to people with “extraordninary abilities”, in case of the Commander due to the K-9 work.
my philosophy
The tactical operational world is an extremely unique realm.
One can find thousands of highly specialized and educational courses within it.
However, especially in the field of K-9 operations, these courses are so narrow in focus that they inevitably lose touch with reality.
The realm of security work, whether it be in the domain of law enforcement or private security, should be an integration of all tools available.
Moreover, the K-9 units themselves, both the handlers and the instructors, suffer from the classic lack of lateral vision and constructive criticism.
How many units still train dogs for operational byte engagement?
In countries where, as we are well aware, laws and regulations even prohibit police dogs from using their primary weapon.
So, what can we do?
We must understand what other paths we can explore to carry out our destined work effectively.
Waiting for change and transformation to come from the top is sheer nuts.
More often than not, those in command have never even had a single operational experience.
How could they then conceive of fields and improvements?
It is us, those of us with experience and knowledge of “how” the work should be done, who should be proposing changes.
We must approach this with the characteristic open-mindedness of great innovators and a willingness to experiment.
